The Living Room
The present modern and comfortable restoration has included peeling back the plaster work of the 1900’s revealing original features of older days such as:
Wooden ceilings have been replaced at the original height giving the spacious and airy feel of the old traditional cottage
An added feature, a press bed, can be found in the living room. Using an old Irish Pine press to hide the bed during the day. It is fully restored so that you can experience the cosiness of sleeping in front of the glowing embers of a real log fire
The kitchen restoration maintains the general ambience of the cottage but provides a modern cooker, fridge and microwave for your convenience. An open, hand made brick fireplace stretching to the ceiling giving a sense of the days when fresh soda farl’s were cooked on a griddle at the fire.
The bedroom boasts of a luxurious King sized bed with a window to enjoy the morning sunshine
Bathroom with shower over bath
